Gfortran build get stuck in dlamc1 using internal math lib

Post by tkjaer » 22 Jan 2014, 12:05

Hi all

I have tried to compile LSDALTON using gfortran 4.7.2 with default optimization (-O3) using the internal math library.

To my surprise it was very slow.

When I tried to run it through the gdb debugger I found that it got stuck in the dlamc1 subroutine of the internal blas library.

This is not a problem if I use the debug build (--type=debug) nor if I link to MKL using the "export MATH_ROOT=/path/to/mkl" command or some other math lib.

Suggestions?

Link to external math lib is always recommended for performance reasons
